It's bazaar how trivial a reason some need to block someone. I'm not sensitive about it but often surprised.

Whether you agree or disagree, much better that you accept and respect their decision and simply move on.

would you carry on seing someone in th ereal world that you just know you dont, or wont, get along with, no matter the reason?

exactly.

the block list is there for that reason.

stops you wasting your time, and hardon brain, and stops them having to keep deleting messages from you

we block profiles of those we are not interested in, sometimes without any contact at all.

It is to stop them contacting us at all, or us looking at the same profiles over and over

Thats like me saying why do people block me because i think im a nice person. maybe they didnt like who you met or your verifications, or your forum posts.

No, they are people who for whatever reason, have decided to block. They maybe just don't fancy you, for whatever reason.

Move on, its how they want to use the site. I block people who don't listen to what I say, or continually contact even after being told I'm not interested. And some I block because of something they have said on the forum that just turns me off.

Think of it as someone walking away in a pub - it guarantees not being seen again.

Don't worry about such things it's no big deal. It just means people don't want any contact with you. You can't force yourself upon people.

Oh I forgot, just looking at someones profile GUARANTEES them a chat and a shag... I look, and sometimes block people who just don't do it for me. And yes, I do look at profiles, and block if they are not for me.

The FAQ's of this site suggest blocking as a tool. It is permitted, even encouraged. It's NOT being "unpleasant". But you are like a dog with a bone, you can't let it go! I would hate to have to reject you without the power to block you as I fear I would be bombarded with "why" messages for days!

Maybe you are too tall. too short, maybe someone just looked at your profile out of curiosity and did not expect or want a response. Does it matter? They blocked you because they don't want further contact from you for whatever reason they have. Frankly, that reason is none of your business!

Just looked at your profile & personally can't see why someone based on that would block you. There are some confusing points in your interests taking into acccount you area solo but otherwise it seems ok.

Are you sure you are blocked & not just being filtered out due to gender, age range etc

You may think the only reason anyone should block someone else is if that person is unpleasant or pushy but not everyone will agree with you. I certainly don't.

Blocking means I am not interested in meeting you, for whatever reason and saves us wasting each other's time.

However, if anyone has a problem with me not wanting to meet them, assumes I am a nasty person because of it and seeks to dictate how I should use the site tools and manage my time here, it confirms I'm right to block them.

It's my time, and I manage it as I see fit. Nobody else has the knowledge of my experience of this site and of what I need/want to be in a position to judge.

OP, you're not sensitive about it? No, clearly not.

It's not a personal insult, it just means I'm not interested in meeting.

I'm surprised that some people getting het up over such a minor thing. Being blocked means you won't be meeting, for whatever reason. Why worry about it any further? Use your time and energy on those who are interested, not those who aren't.

why does blocking you make someone unpleasant? they don't want to be contacted by you again and the easiest way to ensure that doesn't happen is to block you.
