is there a simple way to work out ratios? i've googled and googled and i'm just getting more and more beffudled by the minute
if there s no simple formula to it then not to worry there will be no ratios in this damn assignement cause i sure as hell can't work out what any of the ones i've googled mean |

Yes there is!!
Add up the ratio to work out how many parts there are altogether, for example 3:5 would be 8 parts altogether.
Then divide your total number by that amount. So say you had 40 cakes to share in the ratio 3:5 you would divide 40 by 8. That would tell you what one part is, so in this example it would be 5 cakes. Then you can work out what 3 parts are by multiplying (15) and 5 (25). Its always good to check they add up to the initial amount, 15+25=40, so we know we are right!
Does that help? |

"think we might need the full question"
I've put in a request for it! Because ratio is what I explained. Whilst my explanation was basic, that is the format of how to solve ratio!

mean - the cruel and 'mean' option, total all the numbers up and divide by how many figues there are
mode - which number appears MOst is the MOde
medium - the 'middle' numerical order and which is the middle number, if there isnt one take the sum of the two numbers in the middle and divide by 2 |
