So many ranty moany threads about getting unwanted attention...
Do you use the tools that this site has provided for you?
We use the filter to block newbies..
And we occasionally use the block button!
What tools do you use if any? |

My favourite tool is the hide profile one. Gives me a break when all I want to do is read forums. I have filters on to the max and will block if needed. |

Newbies are blocked and i'll block anyone else if it doesn't feel 'right'.Just occasionally i'll send a polite message out saying im not interested but I certainly wont procrastinate for 6 hours like the OP on the recently closed thread!  |

i use to use the block button a lot, but i only save that now for extra special fuckwits... ooop... meant people!!!
the private note function is great for venting your spleen, and a reminded as to why you vented it in the first place..... |

Yes, I have strict filters. Only men can message me but not if they're newbies, unverified or outside my age range. I've also blocked those who've been a pain in a previous life, live a bit too local for comfort or if I just don't want them perving my pics. I also hide my profile mow and again too.
I cant understand the moans about unwanted attention to be honest, there are plenty of tools on this site (and that is a pun) and I never get any nasty messages when I say no thanks either.
The only thing I dont use is BIG SHOUTY CAPITALS  Well, not yet anyway |

I use the filters, and block absolute newbies now. Otherwise, block gets used very rarely as I prefer to get a sense of someone, and say if I dont think we would work. I think blocking newbies has been one of the better steps Ive taken, as they seemed to send the worst messages, friend invites and pic requests etc. |

Private notes is good, I use it to remind myself if I've said no thanks (or if someone is a particular arse in the fora), filter newbies and out of my age range, green arrow on forum posts and the beloved block button...just wish we had more smileys like a pukey one although I guess the unexpected anal one serves much the same purpose  |
