Just cause I reported him to environmental health I am the bad guy how could I do it to him he has a business to run roof leaks full of damp. Son now has ashma. Told me I was a bad mother and I should of just given him time. Now I feel like shit

If you ve told him about repairs that are required and he s had a reasonable amount of time to have them carried out, you ve every right to complain if he s not listening to you or not completing the repairs sometimes you have to escalate things,

If he's had time to respond, and get someone in, then I can't see his defence in an argument! I'm a landlord and I always make sure my tenant is looked after in a way I'd like to be if it was my house.

If he didn't respond within 28 days of you reporting the issue, you did the right thing. His problem!

Gave him 8 months sorry to complain. Have depression he just going on about his business has to come first. well I told him my son's has to come first. Telling me I should never of gone to the council and I am not being fair with him council gave him 4 weeks then a extension of another 3 weeks

He has to sort it out otherwise the council will be all over his arse and in court. She could also sue him.

Withhold a portion or all of your rent, if he s had eight months to sort the problems hes had adequate time ,

my only other question is have you looked for another rental property with a different letting agent / landlord and serve notice on him

Don't withhold the rent as you won't be getting a council house but will be getting a intentionally homeless letter...

Yes I have looked but it is so expensive and don't have all the moneyvforvfees etc

Try speaking to your local housing department as most have funds put by to help with a deposit
