Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Woke up, got out of bed, dragged a comb across my head...

I had my shower got out and got stung by a wasp.

I have a very throbby and rigid digit now. It still stings too.

Wasp sting remedies please along with worse starts to the day to cheer me up.

I hope today gets better.

Try to keep calm...

Vinegar...

Keep the sting lower than heart level, if possible...

Cold water soak, or an ice pack (with a cloth down first, to prevent ice burns..)

Watch out for anaphylaxis, shock...

Keep your phone ready to call 112 / 999

The last two will probably not happen, but it doesn't hurt to be prepared..

No anaphylaxis and the balsamic vinegar seems to have helped.

Yes, as it stung me my reflexes kicked in and it got squooshed!

Now throbbing with anger as the rest of my morning just got worse and I am now sitting in a national tyre place waiting to replace the front right tyre.

On the upside, the sun is warm and the sky is clear.

I don't know where the wasp came from. I hope it isn't a nest in my loft. I will be at their mercy when I'm on the toilet or in the shower.

Take a rolled up newspaper or one of those electric swatting things that looks like a badminton racquet with you to the bathroom... (Poss not the electric one in the shower....oh and the paper will get all soggy...clearly I need to rethink this!)

No and the worst part appears to be that the swelling on the finger and throbbing has ended but every once in a while I get a sharp sting in the same spot. The prick that keeps giving.

Loughborough

I got stung last year on the end of my willie.........

Ran into outpatients and slapped it on the desk in front of the young lady doctor....

She asked me what I wanted her to do.....

So I said

Take the pain away but leave the swelling as it is!!!!

I didn't realise the Royal Mail privatisation provided such an enhanced service.

I should have used the correct lyric. Please replace "got" with "fell".

Don't break it. Try the FitFlops when you're up to it. My arthritic knees are so much happier since I started wearing them.
