A Secret Hideaway In the caravan of love |
It seems like 15/20 years ago, a lot more people were parking their car in their garage. Nowadays I don't think I know anyone who does.
Are garages nowadays becoming more of a storage point rather than for cars |

Well, I keep my folding trailer-camper in a garage...
I've managed to get it partly erected with one of the beds pulled out and the roof virtually fully up...
Makes a nice little nest once you've clambered in |

It was more like 30 to 40 years ago,.
I think what saw the end of the keeping the car in the garage, was the Japanese making a car that would start in the winter. Unlike the british ones.
A lot of the older generation do keep their cars in the garage, as they can remember how badly made british cars were |

I keep my car in a garage for the simple reason the last 3 cars I had were always getting damaged i.e. scratches down the side, windows getting smashed, and even the petrol pipe being cut and the petrol siphoned off.So yes I do park my car in the garage.

I keep the motorbike, mountain bike, PA, Lights and tools in my garage. Would not like to contemplate moving somewhere without a garage, and I'd have a triple if I could afford it, to accommodate the 2 cars. |

"I work in the building industry. When new houses are constructed there is barely enough space to manoevre your car into let alone get out of it when you have managed that almost impossible feat "
I agree, it's more to do with cars getting wider and garages getting smaller |

Too true! I only drive a golf and there's less than 2" to spare on each wind mirror going into my garage! It stays on the drive. Garage is much needed storage now that new build houses have so little inside! |

Strange but true your insurance company will charge more than if you park on your driveway due to possible damage to your car or your car doing damage to the garage if your foot was to slip of the cluch ! |

I park the car in the garage, but it is a tight squeeze with everything else in there.
My parents had a two car garage that you could not fit a motorbike in, there was so much stuff being stored in it. |

My car has to live in a garage due to the fact it is a specialist build. Plus if it's left outside it will get wet inside. Fits into the garage but I have to fold the mirror in to get out of the garage. |

one of ours is a Gym, all painted and carpeted...
Made it into a Gym because we are too lazy to park the car in it.
The other full of stuff we would keep in the attic, but we changed the attic into a bedroom and lounge... |

The 'garages' with modern houses can only just hold a washing machine. A car won't get near...
I keep my old classics in my nice big warm garage. No standing outside for them!
It amazes me how many park on the road when they have drives though.
