I think he used a lesser known equation that defies the laws of physics and cross referenced that with the CGAC List (couldn't give a crap) and multiplied that by percentage of blank profiles and then compared it to some algorithm and then it got all to messy and confusing so he just made an uneducated guess and went with it |

It's narcissistic to announce "I'm leaving in 10 days" and then flounce around in a hissy fit when people don't beg them to stay.
As others on here have already stated, a cast number come back a few weeks later under a different username. We have seen it all before. It's not as if the OP is a prolific and much loved poster on the forums that will be conspicuous in their absence.
I have no doubt that if I were to post a thread like this, the comments would be much more caustic (and hopefully very funny) but within a fortnight I would be completely forgotten about.

I think people who announce they are leaving are well within their right to do so, they want to say good bye to their contacts. It's cool.
It does allow an opportunity for people to offer advice that 'hiding the profile' may be a better choice.
The reason it draws sarky replies is sometimes when they do it for the 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th & more times, they may end up looking foolish.
That again, is their choice. |

It has happened quite frequently where people put up a thread to say they are leaving which is not followed through, so you can understand others cynicism.
However, it is harsh when people jump on the band wagon and slate the poster for doing it. It must put off and make the genuine leavers think twice before they say goodbye to the contacts they have made in the forum. |

this. I was extremely lucky that all the comments on my leaving thread last year were all positive and not one sarcastic comment. But I had become a UNLOS before anyone had a chance to post! Good luck OP and take no notice of the sarcasm. |
