Stretch Marks

I was wondering what people actually think about them. I'm sure not many people like them regardless of if they have them themselves. I'm not against them personally. Where all humans afterall. Are they a big turn off? Whats the general consensus?

I suppose it would be quite mixed.

They're there, can't be prevented or made to disappear and most folk have them.

No issue at all.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I've got them. I can't do anything about them.

People can take it or leave it.

It's not worth me fussing about something I can't change.

Like it or lump it.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

I am very lucky to have a man who loves them. He loves to stroke and kiss them and says all the time how much he enjoys the feel of them.

He has made quite a few women feel better, boosting their confidence with how excited and genuinely happy he is to play with and caress their skin....

I'm a size 14 and have them, I was a size 8 before I had my kids.

My kids gave me those, if I'm enjoyed for what I have, there is always elsewhere!

I agree its not just weight gain that cause them I know many smaller people who have them. I'm not a big guy myself and so I read up on it just to find out a bit more and apparently its all to do with skin elasticity. That determines whether you'll be prone to then.

Maybe I'm an exception to the rule but I love them!!! My ex give birth to twins of 6lb 4 and 6lb 6, which gave here what she described as ugly stretch marks! She never believed me when I told her that I loved to touch and kiss her there! But I did!!

its the dermis that tears and doesn't mend, which is why you get the ridges and troughs when your body recovers from pregnancy or weight loss. I can tell you that during pregnancy they are painful and itchy. I've not had any man look revolted by them, not even younger men who might not have touched them before. When I was slim they looked worse as they weren't stretched out so the troughs are more pronounced

When I was a bouncer they would never hit me because if I fell on top of them I would have killed them

Anyone who knocks stretch marks is a bastard it cant be helped its either due to giving birth or being overweight, and what are you starting a thread about this for?

Reply privately, Reply in forum +quote or View forums list

By (user no longer on site)  over a year ago

It seems threads like this are started are always about woman, dragging them down.

Is it supposed to turn us on?

Insecurity is all I can think of for doing this.

One man's downfall is another man's treasure.

I agree with what your saying, but a majority are woman.

I was pointing out all about woman, as a majority have them, and you never see a woman banging on about the male and what happens to them.

It amazes me how defensive people get. OP said nothing about women or fat people!

I don't mind mine, but then I don't have that many (especially for a fat woman ). Most people have them. Nothing to get excited about in my opinion.

If they were on me, I'm guessing I would hate them. I was lucky and didn't get any, although I hate my c-section scar...I always tell potential meets about it (you can hardly see it, but for me it's a big point of insecurity). Either of these on another lady wouldn't bother me tho x

OP didn't mention weight gain or was not gender specific, some people are so defensive... I've got shit loads, I don't like them but they're part of me so I've learnt to live with them!

Would I be put off by a man with them? No

Do I care if men see mine? Yes, very self conscious of my mummy tummy!

I started this thread because I had a genuine interest in what people thought about stretch marks. I didn't make it gender bias so I'm not sure why any gender would take it personally. By no means am I insecure about my stretch marks because they are part of me 'it is what it is' lol. Hopefully nobody is offended by my interest

I got some on my legs when I was a skinny teenager. I had three babies and didn't get one. So they are faint now but they never ever bothered me one bit. I don't care about them on other people either.

Not something that bothers me, everyone has some imperfections. Although it does remind me of Tom Conti in Shirley Valentine when he says about stretch marks, "...they show that you are alive, that you have given life; don’t be ashamed of these marks. They are beautiful." - Remember that one next time you're asked chaps.

I have heard people voice their opinions about weight, color, height, race and everything under the sun when it comes to preferences but never heard anyone complaining about stretch marks on other people.

Im not particularly fond of mine but I have never actually noticed them on other people so I usually assume no one really notices mine.
