We rarely get them but did meet a couple last month who got them really bad so we made it a social and just enjoyed their company. I would say nobody is immune to them though. |

Mr D, calmness personified.
Me, shaking, saying over and over what im afraid of, feeling sick, needing a drink.
I do my husbands head in as when we then meet it all disappears and I morph into dirty girl. |

I like to pretend to myself I'm not by breathing deeply and acting calmly. However like a swan gliding down a river I'm paddling like crazy underneath. I like socials as it helps alleviate the nerves a bit. |

"I'm quite bad , I get really cold hands and feet, shaky, feel sick and get period type pain .... "
Oh yes, forgot the stomach cramps!
They're worse if it's just me and a guy.

Exactly the same here ...
I never get nervous and am teetotal .
My wife is a nervous wreck till we arrive , and then turns into a proper naughty girl !
She calls it the zone , and when she is in that zone she has no nerves or inhibitions |

The worst was a guy I met in Jan. He's not a swinger so random pre-arranged sex was a very alien concept for him. Random sex with a married woman whose husband you're about to meet must have been frankly terrifying. I however was a mess for literally days beforehand. When we met it didn't immediately get better as he was clearly as bad as me. Even my husbands parting shot of 'have fun kids' didn't break the tension.
For a while in that hotel room we managed to create our own vibrating bed, just from shaking.
We got over it eventually. |

Being even clumsier than normal (and that takes some doing!) and talking too much interspersed with clamming up seem to be my main symptoms so far but I then tend to laugh at myself for being like that. Still pretty much a novice though so don't know if I'll get less nervous. I think not, but who knows? |

We're ok until any chance of fun then my arse falls out lol and my balls shoot up into my throat that's when the nerves hit me. And we try not to drink on meets as we have met the odd couple that make a bit of a cock of themselves under the influence and we would rather not follow suit so nerves and sober ha ha |

"How bad are yours. I get worse the older I get
"
I always get nervous before a meet even if we have met before.
How bad and when I start, depends on the type of meet and who it is. Can vary from butterflies to a herd of elephants.

This is a great thread because until now I thought I was the only one that felt this way.
I get really nervous and most times my nerves get so bad I dont even get as far as arranging some meets.
That said, for those who I have met have been so patient and nice with me it makes my anxiety be totally misplaced. I think this says more for the nice ppl I have met more than me though - so a big thank you to them!! |

Don't let it stop you, you see that post about the guy I met in Jan nerves really can't get any worse but nothing would have stopped me and despite the sheer terror before and even during we met again a month later. He is still very nervous but we're getting there and we're meeting again next month, I guarantee I will be very anxious. The fear is SO worth it because the resulting experience far outweighs the jitters/screaming night terrors/cold sweats and upset stomachs.

I'm exactly the same now... Although as long as it's a meet together I'm okayish..
Meeting a single guy I find nerve wracking |

Best of luck, you should come back and read these threads if it seems to get too much on the nerves front. I find words of encouragement really helpful to return to when I'm struggling.

I dont get them. Either things 'click' or they don't. They are less likely to if you're nervous as hell.
The thing that puts stress into the situation in applying a sense of expectation or pressure to 'succeed' to proceedings.
So I don't get nervous because I have no expectations - other than a coffee / pint and a chat. |
