When I heard a colleague was on here, several people within my workplace advised people to go on here. Even though everyone in that conversation was married. I was down on here before and a regular forum poster sent me a private message to cheer me up and ended up giving me her number as a result.

Bad surprises on here (although I have seen them away from this site) happened when I said what I disapproved of and when I tried to explain how to make things better for others. Got slated for both things too.

First contact from an ff couple was from them to me. They were genuine. We met and had a brilliant afternoon..... That was all surprising! They left the site a week later - that wasn't.
