I've actually done this, found a wallet whilst out on the local retail park, walked into the shop it was outside and asked if it could be announced over the PA just in case the owner was in here, was funny to watch all the guys checking at once then one guy came running to the customer service saying it was his, I asked what his name was to prove the wallet was his and the debit credit cards inside, it checked out, I passed it over and he offered me £10 for my honesty, I refused the money and just said to be more careful. |

I went to a cash machine once where the card was still in the machine and the screen said, "do you require another service?" I put no and took it to the police who said that if money has been stolen, (by someone) I might be a suspect!!!! How's that for honesty?
I'm no saint, but I've never stolen anything in my life. |

"And be Honest when answering, if you found a Purse or Wallet that had Credit Cards or Cash in would you hand it in or make contact with the Owner ? "
have found wallets and cash in the past and always handed them in to the police station |

i once found a wallet whilst walking home d*unk from the pub and put it in my pocket to deal with the next morning.
Once sober i looked in the wallet and took it to the address of the blokes details i found in it. Wanker never even said thanks, all he said was the dosh is missing and closed the door on me

Would always hand in cash/wallet etc, usually people have all sorts of pics and personal stuff in as well as cash. Would be gutted if I lost my purse and try to treat others as I would like to be treated. Have to hold my hands up to nicking a teaspoon here and there from a hotel tho - so not 100% honest, dont know why I think that is OK! Oops. |

Teaspoons are exempt
Seriously, I would always think of the other person - so could not take advantage of that situation.
But teaspoon? Hey as long as it was not a dessert spoon you won't go to hell for that |

Spot on. I might look in for an address and then take it round in person to make sure the owner gets it. |

You know what, moved here a few weeks ago when I still smoked, met this woman outside the front of the pub whilst both having a fag, she introduced me to loads of peeps here including Bob in his 80s. A week or so later I met Bob agaain, he was looking for his wallet which he'd mislaid the night before: It was handed in, complete with cash and cards! So on Bob's behalf, thanks to all those who did! |

nothing wrong with that - it sounds decent, genuine, grounded and well - like a lovely person to me.
And errrrr very sexy might one add this in public? |
