I genuinely believe that age has no bearing on whether relationships are a success, if there is a connection and both people are willing to compromise (as with all relationships) then it will be a strong relationship. |

I much prefer to meet and date older men. I was seeing someone until recently who was 14 years older than me, and he was the perfect gentleman. I think 14 years would be my limit though ... But never say never!! Late 30s to early 40s = perfection |

trouble is someone older thinks they know better than you a lot of the time.
things arent so interesting to them because they have seen and done it all already. When they get old they start to get things wrong with them.
if they have grown up kids from their first marriage it makes things comlicated. |

See he doesn't have that attitude, I'm the younger one with a medical condition and as for the kids, if you see them as a complication then the relationship is bound to fail. His kids are not a complication, they are a part of our relationship. Every decision we make we take the kids into consideration and they come first. I don't see them as a complication, I see them as an asset. |

JN "
From my perspective, JN is my 3rd serious relationship. The others have been around my age or older and have been both male and female.
JN was below my minimum age limit when we started chatting - by about 7 years - but as soon as we met it was instant.
How I describe it is 'we fit' : we are the perfect match in so many ways it is untrue and the second guessing each other is, at times, a little bit freaky
Whilst I have had younger sexual partners before, I have always left it there because I didn't want to be with someone who was on a different page in the book of life.
With JN though I have someone who behaves well beyond his years and in many respects demonstrates far more maturity than a lot of guys my own age (including me at times)
Small in build he maybe, but big on resolve : he knows his mind, he knows what he likes, he knows what he wants and he knows how to get there.
Don't think for one minute that I exercise all the control in the relationship, because nothing could be further from the truth - well except in the bedroom, but then again he likes that

I was 19 husband 32. Lasted 6 years but he was a very old 32. Every year he seemed to age a further 5 years. In my opinion yes relationships can work as long as you both want the same things and on each others wavelength. |

"my brothers married to an older woman who has got granchildren she told me that he doesnt realy like kids and gets fed up with them. "
Then may I suggest the relationship won't last. I knew when we got together that he came as part of a team of 4. If I didn't have a good relationship with the kids then our relationship wouldn't be as strong as it is. |

Thats where your wrong because they have been together for over 20 years, get on ok in other ways, no marriage is perfect, some people stay together for other reasons, not everyone gets divorced because they get annoyed about some things, obviously the kids dont bother him that much. |

16yrs between us, don't even notice or think about it anymore, if others do well it's up to them, and, up to them what they think... It used to bother me when we first got together. I used to imagine everyone was looking at us. But now quite frankly my dears I really don't give a damn. |

Which is not what you said in your previous post! You said, he doesn't really like kids and gets fed up with them, not what you've just said! Its very difficult to debate something with someone who changes things!
If the kids don't bother him then they aren't going to be an issue, if he doesn't like them then it is going to be! |

Me and Andy are 15 years apart and is the best and most fulfilling relationship I've had. I've always gone out with older men and the relationships have been good ones. I had a bf younger than me, and one just 2 years older than me, and they were horrible relationships. The biggest age gapped relationship I've had is 30 years. We split because he wanted to get married but I wasn't ready for that commitment, but we left on good terms and are still friends now.

I would be never dream of getting in a relationship with someone whose kids are dependable. I spent 16 years putting my son first (which I loved) and being restricted. Now I want to do what I like, when I like and with who I like without having to take kids into consideration

"Good luck to people but I think an age gap of maybe 10 years or so can sometimes look a bit uncomfortable "
Who gives a toss how it 'looks'?
It's how it feels for the 2 people in the relationship that is important.
If our relationship makes other people uncomfortable then that is their 'issue' to deal with whilst we get on with being happy.

Three of the happiest relationships I've known amongst family & friends have had big age gaps , 2 the guys were/are older by 11 & 22 years. The other , the lady was 13 years older .
No-one ever questioned it , they all fitted together . Age is but a number & if it feels right then it will be right ! |

This week a lady agreed to meet for a social, we spoke oh the phone, my age is on my profile and I was looking forward to the natter.
Then, perhaps stupidly, I wrote to her on What's App. Described myself as white hair, I went white age 36 .. Eyebrows remain black (bit like Philip Scofield or Alistair Darling). She asked me "how old are you" ... Then she cancelled the social, 5 yrs too old. Pity.
I know everyone has a prefernce, but who knows what might have been. I have huge energy, love a giggle ...
So to some its just a number, to others its so much more. |

I've got a thing for the older guy, at the age of 17 I was dating a 40 year old but I wanted different things from life, on here I prefer the older guy as they seem to treat me with more respect and look to pleasure me, the most recent being 20+ years older than me and knows exactly which buttons to press |

"What do you think of relationships with a big age gap are you in one.
Do you think they work long term.
What is your biggest age gap you have had.
Was it a good relationship."
My wife is 12 years younger than me, she is 34yrs old, I consider myself fairly highly sexed but I find it very difficult keeping up with her needs
guess I would turn a blind eye if she had a work place fling as it would reduce her sexual appetite at home, she has a good few toys but they just don't seem enough for her at times and she tires me out

I think age gap when the man is older seems to get a lot less attention than when the woman is older. We have had the occasional looks from people passing by or couples nudging each other and looking our direction. I dont really think about it until you notice someone doing that. |

To be honest I probably wouldn't be happy if it was one of my kids as you want the best for them and I would be worried about them being on their own in the prime of their life cos their partner had dropped dead lol |

Oldest was 14 years older when I was 19 and she 33. Youngest was last year - she was 19 (daughter of a fab member and yes mum knows before any one neg comments!). Have had fun with a few 23 yr olds here too.... Never seems to matter tbh but some folks on here do set limits - and that's their choice and should also be respected. |
