The things I could do an just understood with no training proved I was no thicko in fact I was much smarter than most around me an that's when my life began. So what about you lot how was your school days good or bad lets hear it an hope it was better than mine............for those iv snapped at regarding spelling heres the reasen why and why nobody will ever put me down again |

I loved primary school. Was top in the school, a happy student who was like a sponge with information, according to my teachers. Got to secondary and it all went pear shaped. The learning was the easy part, top of the class in all subjects again but fighting a battle with the social side of it. I didn't like socialising with my peers in school. No one bullied me, I got on with everyone ,more so the faculty than the students. I just want to be there |

I loved school until we moved from Romford, then I played up a bit, had the cane and slipper, but came out with qualifications and good friends.
Had some good times.

I'm afraid I look back to my school days not very favourable. I was ok up to the age of 10 and then it went down hill until I was 18 with bullying, my dyslexia not being accepted, teachers under marking me and a school career councillor telling me not to aspire above a technical college education, when I told her that I wanted to be an archaeologist. 25 years on, I'm now coming to the end of a full-time 3 year degree in Archaeology and Ancient History and considering post-grad study. Would love to go back now and tell the knockers what I have achieved!
Moral of the story: no matter how many knock backs you get in early life, strive to reach your goals. The best thing I got from school was some good old friends and determination.

I'd go back to school in a heartbeat.
So many good mates from there.
So many things I would have done differently.
I wonder if behind the tech block still is behind the tech block?... (that's code for behind the tech block)..never talk about behind the tech block unless you were behind the tech block.
I never fully appreciated what a fucking blast I had at school, even after school when we all used to meet up and get up to all sorts of shit.
#good times! |

I enjoyed school till senior school, I hated the place as most of the lessons were done by dictation. I was a slow writer and got left behind, I excelled in practical lessons. I got bullied a lot due to having no front teeth, I lost them when I got knocked off my bike when I was younger everyone found out when I lost the false set I had throwing up over the side of a side on the way to france on a school trip. |

I had thick glasses before I started infants and a hearing issue. I then graduated onto braces and acne. I was a bullies wet dream!
To make things even more interesting I was the only one from my primary who went to my high school. So I started high school surrounded by people who already knew each other. It took me years before I realised that the outsiders were the most interesting people.

My word - you blossomed then!
I was mostly one of the outsiders - had a small group of friends that I still see to this day - but always found someone 'interesting' to talk to.
Oh, and the girls at the high school across the road were interesting too - just not interested! |
