i disagree with this as i look at peeps veris and you can find a lot of very useful info from them - ie. a couples profile which states they only play safe with veris from bareback only profiles - + loads more info! Z |

lots of people arent always the way other people describe them.
i think its better if you can read their verifications especialy the ones they have left other people, anyone can sound nice on the phone too. when you get that desperate you will meet anyone sometimes though. |

We love looking back over our veri's , it gives us a warm feeling and brings back happy memories . We also like to see who has met who , for various reasons which we will keep to ourselves .
If you don't like the verifications , don't read them .
If you don't want veri's tell your meet .

You can though glean useful information from veris that might include things the profile owner might not have disclosed.

They are just a part of a process though . First the profile text and pictures , then the list of preferences , then a selection of veri's . From this a message , a feel of the connection , perhaps a phone call and then a meet .
Seems reasonable , and surely useful as part of the bigger picture . |

We had our veri's and friends list up until someone started sending us nasty, malicious emails. We were worried that our friends and Veri's would be targeted by them. Not many meets nowadays as a result but what can you do. Diddly squat. |

Veris are one of the indicators that help me decide if I want to meet...I've also met non verified people after using the other indicators I personally use...I tend to ignore the "made me gush like niagra falls" type veris, but the "shit shag, fell asleep whilst going down on him/her" are more likely to make me think there's probably a good laugh can be had here...end of the day (sorry, I sound like a fecking football manager) for me is a bit more likely to get me interested |

I will go for that, ok they are fun for the first 6 months ok for the following months then the following 2 years I have lost interest as its more about the people for me. I don't rely on them as I socially meet anyway in the main first time and make it a point I don't verify them pre meeting as I don't think its right to verify because its the "polite thing" same with meeting people at socials which are often a smiler because I have chatted with both parties in the past and they hate each other but still do the warm milk cosy verification. Would it be better to stop them? In all honesty yes they have done their day and have become little more than the 1970's bumper stickers on cars "my other cars a Porsche" or "truck drivers fuck good" etc.
HOWEVER taking them away well if I had to do it I would feel as bad as I would stealing a Chupa Chup from a 3yr old.  |

Why don't you mention it on your profile as I have seen on profiles that say they will let people who they are interested in see their verification's to prove they are genuine, I think they show some for a day just to show the person they are exchanging messages with that they have met people, besides from your pictures, its pretty obvious you have |

We use met in person veri's as a filter and as a tool.
Making them anonymous would make it easier for fake veri's and I dont think it would work. Ironically if we could protect the women's identity then we would show our veri's.
We only display them when we feel we can trust the person(s) we are talking too, as our single female friends already get enough attention |

I actually think it just sounds more involved than it is because people are going into details about the pros and cons.
I consider us people who look with care at profiles but it's a 2 minute process.
Read profile, 30 seconds, quick browse of pics and age requirements etc and then a speed look at veris and a quick decision yes or no.
It probably takes 2 minutes, no agonising, but this just gives you a feel to go with, nothing more.
