Why does it appear that I have to delete my account to completely re-vamp it and also to add my wife's preferences, anyone ??

you dont, you can edit texts/preferences/pics etc on your current one

if you are meeting with your wife you will need a new one because you would need a couples profile

Your veris are for both of you so just contact admin and ask them if they can change it for you.
