"I Had A Dream by Gary Moore. The guitar solo reduced me to a blubbering wreck...
What an exquisite solo it is!!!"
One of my all time favourites. He played it with so much soul. You can tell he meant every note... |

Very soulful.
Not my tearjerker but I'm finding this old Genesis song very touching today 'More fool me':

He was a true master. He could go from ferocious to tender in less than 8-bars. Just give his live cover of The Messiah Will Come Again a listen. It's 10 minutes of heaven and my all time favourite live guitar instrumental. |

Not a tearjerker but a song that makes me a bit sad is Eva Cassidys version of Early Morning Rain.
American Pie is a very sad / tragic song as is Vincent.
The Living Years almost, but not quite, has me damping my eyes too. |

I guess I've been spoilt with that one as I've heard it sung by one of the most beautiful voices I've ever heard in Liverpool Cathedral - it took my breath away |

Nora Jones - long day is over - played it at my Mum's funeral it's beautiful
Feeling tired
By the fire
The long day is over
The wind is gone
Asleep at dawn
The embers burn on
With no reprise
The sun will rise
The long day is over
