Does it matter?
Be what you want to be.
One of the good things on here is that there is a wide variety of people with a wide range of preferences. So decide who you are and what you want, and go for it. Labels count for little. |

To many - singles aren't and won't ever be swingers - although personally I feel they need to move out of the dark ages, realise that 'wife-swapping' and swinging aren't the same - and not get hung up on a label.
To others (us included!) if someone chooses to use the label swinger, be they couple or single (of either sex!!), then all is good!

I think the resistance to calling singles swingers comes from how the term originated. I understand the term was coined based on the idea of swinging away then back to a partner. So the traditionalists might say that singles can't be swingers as there's noone to swing away from or back to. Personally the label does not matter as mmf and ffm and mmmmmmf etc.,couldn't happen without singles. So I think the argument is a moot point within the swinging lifestyle.  |

Seriously, with so many people wanting MFM and other combinations of three there has to be a single somewhere or one partner is always going to be excluded. We singles serve a purpose and inhabit the world of swing so I don't see why we can't call ourselves swingers.

Im quite happy to not be classed as a swinger,some are the most judgemental people I have ever come across
