Wouldn't class that as a horror but I agree, totally messed up! Some people have some weird imaginations to come up with a story like that

I don't recall a scary film, and I've seen a lot.

However, for disturbing try A Serbian Film. That is fucked up. Makes Human Centipede look like a fairy story.

For me it's the 1960s version of the haunting

One of the most atmospheric and genuinely scared films

And no special effects just done with sounds and one creepy set

There's the final sequence being made. Its set in a maximum security prison and its set to be an XXL centipede this time....500 people!

Don't know if it classes as scary, maybe more sick/weird, but a guy I was working with few weeks ago gave me a dvd, The Serbian Film, watched it on fast forward it shocked me that much, not for the faint hearted

It's brilliant there. Beware if you sit in an aisle seat though, there really is a woman in black!!

The book is an excellent read too.

I like a lot of the Japanese horror films. Ju-On The Grudge, Dark water, The Ring etc. many of which America remakes, only they're less scary.

Candyman always freaked me out.

The Conjuring was the last decent horror i saw.

Nowadays films rely on jump scares too much. You can always tell when they're coming as the music ramps up. Or it goes totally silent.

I know what you mean but it just appeals to me more as there's an element of truth in there, rather than a completely made up plot.

One years ago, that was more disturbing than horror was a film called " The Devils " stared Vannessa Redgrave and Oliver Reed ... Oh my Days! What a strange , crazy film! Anyone ever seen it?

I am open-minded about ghosts but I'd have to see it for myself.

Same with aliens etc. I've seen "UFOs" but it may not've been alien.

One thing I am sick of is "found footage" films. They're so boring and done to death.

Really? All we know is the 2 girl vanished and the guy was a suspect! And they never proved he did anything....

As the bodies were never found, we have no idea what happened to them.....

A made up story very loosely based on true events
