8 straight wins is title winning form, we'll see when they play Man city at anfield.... as much as I hate Suarez, I don't think there's a better striker in the world at this moment

Nr Crewe

I'm spurs and I'm gutted by today's result.

But I hope LFC do win the title.

Brendan Rogers has been outstanding this season and what's he's done for Liverpool is amazing.

Sorry to say but, Mr Sherwood is not going to be our manager next season.

There are 38 games and city still have to play at Liverpool so if Liverpool win all 6 city can win their other 7 and not catch Liverpool. xxx

Think Liverpool will win it, fantastic manager, good aul Brendan from Carnlough, nice wee town, superb, hungry team, best striker in the world atm in Suarez, Gerrard is playing the Pirlo role beautifully. If they beat city its in their hands.

It's in our hands now, mind you I'm sure the Toffees will help out by beating City too....

One Match at a time though, so West Ham United, you are next....)))

United fan here (by no means a crying red glory hunter!) and have to congratulate Liverpool for playing brilliant attacking football this season and taking City and Chelsea all the way. However, I think they are due one bad result and on that basis make City the favourites to take the title ... just.

It seems kind of fated to me that Liverpool will win.

If they do football will be the winner.

I have to admit (through gritted teeth) they've played somegreat football.

Also not a glory hunting red (dumb ass comment)

There's glory hunting fans at every successful club, man united had 20 years at the top. A quick sit in motorway services last night even confirmed two coach loads of cockney Liverpool fans.

They're tired, boring statements.

Notice the word 'had' it's past tense?

The glory Hunters can go and leave the club to the fans.

As i said tired, boring statement that's trotted out ad nauseum. I was congratulating another club on a great season. I think that clearly shows I have things in perspective.

Yep you are right they will be leaving as they do at every club, including Liverpool, when things go wrong but the true fans stay and support their club from near or far! We all support who we want to for various reasons and we should all enjoy the sport (the clues in the word) for the glorious game it is.

Tight one,i think it will go to the wire.. Liverpool have possibly peaked too early,i suspect the bubble will burst..looking at fixtures I would predict man city to win Liverpool 2nd and Chelsea 3rd..

As much as I would like Liverpool to win it, I think it will go to City. Got a feeling Chelsea will finish second as well.

Rodgers has done an amazing job though. Makes me laugh all the Liverpool fans last year wanting him out though. There are a small portion of fickle fans at every club, mind!

5 games to go and still top of the league. Manchester City will experience quite possibly for the first time ever, the full Anfield treatment next Sunday both on and off the pitch.

As for LFC fans wanting Rodgers out last season, I suspect that was on Radio phone ins, as it definately wasn't the subject of conversation at the match last year.

Speaking as a lifelong Red, I'll admit that when Rodgers was appointed I said that John Henry & FSG had made a big call that would either leave Liverpool as a top, mid table team that would require a Chelsea or Man City type of investment to get back into the top 4, or if their gamble paid off and LFC won the league within 5 years or so I'd be the happiest man alive!!

5 games to go until happiness arrives by the barrel load.... which will be the cue for the biggest party on Merseyside in years

Also, as a side note it'll be good to see Everton push out Arsenal for the final champions league spot, you never know we might just beat Everton in the first ever Merseyside Champions League Final next year, Ok I am dreaming now, Everton ain't that good....

I think it would be fitting for Liverpool fc and the city itself if they won the league with it being the 25th anniversary of hillsborough.

Unlikely as city I don't think will lose at Anfield but Everton could win it for Liverpool strangely if they take points of City on the 3rd May.

respect that's your opinion but the 2 are totally not related..

would rather not be in the position whereby families are still waiting for justice after this long..

whomever wins the prem it will be about the usual most wins etc, nothing to do with the tragic and avoidable deaths of the 96..

I respect your opinion too but as a Hillsborough survivor, I'm in agreement with Surrysensual too.

I fervently hope Liverpool win the title with every single fibre of my Kopite body. I suspect that most Evertonians fervently hope Liverpool don't with every fibre of their blue blooded bodies and they share our city too.

I know that every person whom lives in Liverpool and from many other places now want Justice for the 96 because it's been demonstrated that that has been flawed in the past (I choose my words carefully due to the ongoing inquest) and that is now the objective of the current inquest due to conclude in 9 to 12 months time plus the investigations of things like the IPCC inquiry.

I must admit I don't want Liverpool to win the title, they had more of their fair share of luck today, but for Gerrard yes that's a different story .. he more than anyone deserves a title to his name .. a great competitor and clubman.
