That's not a bitch. It is a genuine question.
By unphotogenic, I don't mean ugly, I mean they look better in the flesh than they do in pics.
and i guess vice versa, some light up in piccies but don't have the same luxury in person |

I think there are probably quite a few people who don't look like themselves in photos. I met a couple from here ages ago the pics were nice etc but when I met them the lady was gorgeous, so it can be a nice surprise  . |

I get told I definitely look far less terrible in person. Normally through the letterbox of locked doors. They do tend to spoil it somewhat by then saying to their other half, 'pass me the shotgun, quickly!'

I'm going to adopt this as my excuse for taking some terrible pics!
I hate having my photo taken and I think it shows in the picture so I (hopefully!) look better in the flesh than in a mug shot |

me too ... but (you knew there was one coming) i also think that awkwardness is a factor
some people just don't know how to act in front of a camera or go all shy whereas others turn the bobby dazzlers on immediately

A lot of how photogenic a person is relates to how their face reflects light.
Some people are just put together in a way that photographs well, some learn how to pose in order to photograph well and some of us just look crap in photos! |

I think most people eventually have something that u can warm to...for me, sometimes its the features that can be pulled on a face.
a raised eyebrow, a quivering lip... a stare
all of the above factors might just sway someone away from having unattractiveness to the viewer...so obviously a pic wont help. |

Me. Our public pics are lucky ones in a series of 40 pics in a row taken lol. Andy however, is very photogenic. I don't particularly like the private pics of me as I think I look better in real life. We've been told by a couple of people on here that our pics don't do us justice (I'm assuming they mean me as Andy would still look good if I snapped him rolling out of bed). If someone snaps me unexpectedly then I look alright. Tell me to smile or say cheese and it's game over lol.
