So where are you all going on holiday this year??....

Looks like another year at home for me.
As much as i like the single life not going away on holidays irks me 
This is the forth year in a row i have not been anywhere.
So make me jealous, where are you all off to on your travels? |

Plenty of singles organisations around, and I don't mean companies like 18/30 
We have a female friend in her 50s who travels on her own through the ramblers association to name just one.

An excellent way to make new friends - cannot remember the name of the specific organisation but rambling hols are definitely not for the faint hearted or unfit and can be so much fun  |

Yes it does stop me. I prefer to be in the company of others when i go on holiday and have fun and a laugh.
I don't like the idea of eating in a restaurant on my own in Benalmadena

Funny someone mentioned rambling. I have recently took up walking and its a great way to get fit and view some spectacular scenery.
Scotland is a great country to explore. |

Funny you should say that it was only today we looked at a brochure talking about trips in and around Glen Coe which to me is an amazing place. Sorry that does not help YOU much -
but will knock at your door when we come up to take you for an extended walk |

Thats why we are going to Blackpool I stupidly gave my girls the final vote as to where we were going
As for going on holiday alone hun why not get a group of mates who are in the same boat as you and book somewhere last minute. You get a cheap deal and might even end up somewhere you never thought of going. And you have mates to chat to and help do all the things you feel you need more than one to do.

Thats why we are going to Blackpool I stupidly gave my girls the final vote as to where we were going
As for going on holiday alone hun why not get a group of mates who are in the same boat as you and book somewhere last minute. You get a cheap deal and might even end up somewhere you never thought of going. And you have mates to chat to and help do all the things you feel you need more than one to do.

Get the wifes or girlfriends on your side, play the sympathy card, "I havent been on hols for ages cos I dont wanna go alone, would you not like to arrange a nice girly weekend and let him come away with me for a weekend I promise I will bring him back how you let me borrow?" now if Stevens mates offered me that I would bite their hands off, get a weekend in a spa and he gets his whatever weekend. Sounds like my ideal weekend away

Mines wasnt so much wishing I was going somewhere hot and sandy, more a nice shopping and culture week. Strangly both girls decided holiday park and flumes, archery, mucking about and annoying me was a better idea than actually learning something and getting new stuff
Next year (well this year when I book) I will just book something and tell then when I have paid for it

But i have always found that even tho i travel there alone, i still end up in good company.
I have never had to eat out in the evenings on my own, as have always made friends with people from the off.
Usually do my own thing in the day - with others if they are doing same trips etc,
Then meet up with others in the evening - and good thing about being the single one, you can flit from group to group, so that your never outstaying your welcome |

Nope sorry mate it isn't. Too far away from what people call civilisation, our nearest shop is 6 miles away! and way too many personal belongings to allow us to rent it out. |

I am camping on Norfolk coast with my boys and my cousins family for the second time and we love.
Cant beat a bit of roughing it lol.
Mind you for £200 thats about as much as I could afford,so nice and simple. Cant wait, should be fun. |
