I agree; I think it's there is, almost, a subliminal message in terms of the pattern, colour (red/green, yellow gold; blue-white, black-grey, blue grey).
Great for photography, in black & white, or colour, Taschen built their empire on this (and some other stuff).
There's also the definite probability (excludes cross-dressers and transvestites) that, what lies beneath, is/are female.
