I know this subject has been done many times before but I just wanted to say that at the tender age of 52 I have finally and officialy been diagnosed with PND ( Post Natal Depression) for the foreseeable future.
I always wondered why when other problems had been sorted that my depression never lifted and always left me tired and vulnerable.
For those that are thinking why would a 52yr old suffer this, it is because my 15yr old has a body of a 15yr but the mind of an 2yr old and although there has been small changes in her life there has been nothing significant. The Dr's are saying it's the fact that there is no speech that holds me where I am.
This is the first time that I have ever heard or known that you could have this awful depression at any age and not just after having a baby!! |

Depression sneaks up on you and sometimes takes years to realise you suffer from it.
Now you know.
Now you can work on ways to defeat it.
Good luck.
I'm still working on mine but getting there.
