When I took my first driving test. I'd only just left the examination centre. A Jack Russell ran across the road in front of me! I promptly swerved to avoid it, colliding with the wing mirror of a parked car! Hence failed due to "failure to manoeuvre past parked vehicles safely"! Could only happen to me - damn dog !

Anyone else got any similar stories!

I failed my 1st driving test within 5 minutes, rolling through a stop line. Saw the examiner mark the sheet so I parked the car up and walked off telling him 'no point me carrying on and wasting our time'

Why swerve to avoid a Jack Russell? It's hardly going to dent your car if you hit it

Heheh lesson learnt lol

Seriously before anyone has a sense-of-humour bypass... I'd rather go straight on into a small-ish animal than swerve for an Ickle Animal and end up mounting the pavement and taking out some poor sod of a pedestrian

With a cracking view

Can't remember why I failed my first test, but failed my second for a couple of reasons, including not taking enough notice of other vehicles

However, I complained, as the examiner spent some of the time messing with things on the dashboard, so got a re-test.

Next examiner obviously new I'd complained, and took me to what he thought was a nasty set of roads on an estate, loads of tight bends, loads of parked cars etc.

He wasn't to know my god-parents lived there, so I knew every bend and junction !!!!

Spent an extra half an hour I reckon trying to find fault and couldn't ...

In Your Bush

Similar thing happened to me on my test, except it was an imaginary goat. We've been together ever since.
