So, Giggsy, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and the Neville brothers have agreed a deal to buy Salford City FC.
There's been rumours for ages that some ex Man Utd players were going to try to get financial backing from the Middle East to bank roll the purchase of Man Utd.
To buy Man Utd from the Glazers will cost over £1.5 to £2billion minimum. That means it will take years to see any return on the investment.
But.....
Buy a non league club, for fuck all, get it into the football league then bank roll it to the Premiership. Might take 10yrs, but then they'd have a club worth something.
The Arabs like a bit of competition so they'd relish going head to head with Man City's Arab owners splashing the cash.
Football might just be getting a bit exciting |

I think its simply a fact that all the players mentioned have remained true to their roots and want to put something back into the game that gave them so much..big up to them i say |
