My answer to both questions is the same. I was born a few miles from where I live now. I did live over the border for four years though but came back to welsh Wales. |

Manchester born and raised.
Never lived more than 20 miles from my birth place.
It is definately home. I can't imagine living anywhere else on a long term basis.
JN is from Liverpool but without the accent.
Manchester will be his home from summer tho |

Moved from my place of birth to what's since been the family home the following 48 years. But I still struggle to decide which location to declare I'm from! |

started life in South Glamorgan, spent a little time in Bucks late teens before going back there.
Moved to Devon in my mid 30's before moving back to Bucks when I was 40.
Been up here in Cheshire for the last 3 yeas or so.
Accent wise some say I have a West country burr and find it amusing when I say words such as farmer, tractor, market or battery.
On the other hand if I'm on the phone to someone in a Welsh call center my roots come back as apparently they do If I'm bollocking someone.
But to answer the question. When I asked where I'm from I say my birthtown bit I live where I am

I think the gold postbox might get vandalised if I had it where I was born and raised for 18 years. Not too sure if it'd be a good idea to put it where I live now. |

Mansfield, the place I was born, raised, live and hope to die, in about 2090, give or take.
This thread reminds me of an old Soviet joke. An old fellow is reminiscing: I was born in Tsaritsyn, worked in Stalingrad and retired in Volgagrad. |
