It's a Welsh one 'dyfal donc a dyrr y garreg' literal translation, if you strike a stone often enough it will break. I suppose the English equivalent would be If at first you dont succeed, try and try again?

"If at first you don't succeed, try, try again" Not an English quote, but a Scottish one. Robert the Bruce, before the battle of Bannockburn in 1314 where the Scots defeated Edward II.

I have 3 quotes I don't know where they came from but I am always remembering them.
