Google "sheesh".

That's Vegan/Lactose free.

I'm not vegan myself but...I found that.

I think tesco used to do a 'free from' dairy range like milk, yogurt & I think they did a cheese so it should in theory be vegan friendly.

Redwoods Cheezely and Super Melting Cheezely.

There's a long list on the Vegan Societys website listed under vegan cheeses. It even tells you which ones for different results like melting or cream cheese equivalent.

You may end up having to order online. One advantage of vegan cheese type products is that many have a long shelf life.

Tempeh is a form of tofu and is more like an alternative to meat type proteins as opposed to milk/cheese protein. It's nice fried.

Apparently you should steer clear of Cashew Cheese. You make it from cashews in exactly the same way you'd make hummous and apparently, apart from being nothing like cheese, it's fucking awful.

you'll probably find you end up not bothering with the various substitutes for animal produce after a while.

Marigold do cans of braised tofu which is lovely.

And odd though it may sound mock duck is good too. The best place to get that is from oriental shops.
