You could start a mural of adjectives.
Get the local kids involved, bringing suggestions of their own, with a few marker pens and spray cans.
You have quite a few here already to get you going.
Should brighten things up a bit  |

Well, you'll all be ecstatic to learn that the powers that be have a little compassion after all.
Only the bottom half of the wall is going to be shitty brown, the top half is going to be a kind of dark cream
