All clear! :-)

As some of you already know, I've been undergoing treatment for breast cancer since before Christmas. After a small, final operation a little while ago, I was finally given the all clear. The cancer is all gone and I can finally get back to normal! I still have to have regular check-ups, and I've been left with some unsightly scarring, but I'm still here! 
I just wanted to say a massive thankyou to those of you lovely forumites who have sent messages, made phone calls, posted on my threads etc, without the support of my fab friends, my fight would have been much harder!
A special thankyou to three particular ladies, Tempting Devil and MissHottieBottie for all your support. And Ruby Sophia, who has been like a rock of support and comfort over the past few months, all three of you (and everyone else who has taken the time to send a message) are amazing!!! I just wish you all lived closer so I could take you out tonight to celebrate!

Congratulations that's great news im sure nobody cares about any scars as long as you're ok and the people who do care about the scars aren't the sort of people worth knowing! X |

Always good to hear from survivors of cancer. I do race for life every year with my 2 girls and it's fund raisers like this that have helped increase the survival rates.

Yes I totally agree ... I had a little scare myself at the end of last year/start of this ... nothing on your scale though, so can appreciate a little where you're coming from ... best wishes for your continued good health and fortune !!!  |

Is it me being daft if i say i have a tear in my eye? lol
I have an aunt going through breast cancer at the moment. She's currently going through chemo..you just hate that feeling of being helpless.
..and i'd hold you to you holding me to holding that lol.

Thankyou! They're probably not that bad to others, I'll get used to them! As you said, if it's an issue for others, I'll steer clear! I do race for life every year too! Have done since I was about 14! Only missed one, two years ago when I was having chemo, but I went in all in pink! |

Congratulations. Keep going, having been there myself, I know how it can be. It's surprising how long the 5 years of check ups can pass. It starts slow but speeds up quickly.
And forget the scarring, it's just a reminder that you're stronger |

That's fantastic news. 
I had a Mastectomy and Breast Reconstruction nearly 4 years a go, I just get on with life and live it to the full and so can you now.

Good luck"
I used this before! Good stuff, have already bought some more! They'll fade quite a bit anyway, they're still pretty fresh atm.

Congratulations what wonderful news, wish you a long, healthy, happy future. I always find it so humbling to read threads like this, it puts life in perspective.
How lovely that despite all the grumbling and arguing that goes on in the forum most people are so supportive and full of kindness when it really counts.
