It is so very sad & also the vulnerable. There was a clip on the news of 2 care workers abusing a handicapped young man.

Much is said about childcare etc, the elderly deserve the same.

It worries me that this is the world we are creating. What on earth possesses people to prey on the most vulnerable in society, beggars belief.

I worry about my parents they are older parents and are way too trusting for their own good...I'd hate for anything to happen to them or for anyone to take the piss....

My parents are both 80 next year, and last autumn someone broke into their garden shed while my dad was in hospital having heart surgery and stole his disability scooter. What kind of person does something like that ?....but on a brighter note...their house insurance company paid for a new one for him even though the out buildings weren't covered at the time.

Its absolutely the lowest thing...my grandparents were burgled whilst on holiday years ago my gran was so traumatised....if I had known who did it I would happily of hung them by their toenails over a slow burning fire

The reason I cared for my handicapped sister when my dad got a brain tumour. I was young with 3 children but would not have anyone else doing it. My mum won't be going in a home either

Which world are we creating? I think you'll find "the most vulnerable in society" have been preyed upon since the year dot.

Its very sickening and it really gets to me. I have seen some very shocking things in my working life but violence and sex crimes towards the elderly always hits a nerve.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

Whilst society continues to revere youth with the constant need for 'beauty treatments' in a desperate attempt to cling to said youth for as long as possible, then the old will always be lowest in the pecking order.

These cowards prey on the elderly because in most cases they cant or wont fight back.Elderly people are all forgotten too easy in this country and enough isn't done to help and protect them as some are also forgotten by their family and left to fend for themselves, leaving them vunerable and easy targets for these cowardless ass wipes......grrrrr dont get me started!!!

I find it disturbing that vulnerable members of society are being groomed for abuse and crime by so called friends to such an extent that the police now have a name for it - Mate Crime.

70 year old lady was mugged up the road from me a couple of weeks ago and in the same week an 80 year old was terrified by a man aggressively hassling her for drugs.

Bastard cowards thats all they are.
