What would you do??

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

This is purely a hypothetical question!!

What would you do if you fell pregnant after a meet?? (we all know it's a risk)!!

Couples would you keep the baby and raise it together because it is more likely to b ur other halves than the other mans? Would you want a DNA test done??

Men:would u want to know you had potentially fathered a child?? Or is ignorance bliss??

I am in the pil and we only play safe but if I was to fall pregnant after a meet we have said there would b no DNA test done and J would raise the baby as his no questions asked

My only question would be around not telling a guy that you fell pregnant after the meet, there's a slight morality thing around him deserving to know etc.

I have one other question; would it still be the same if you slept with a black guy because the off shoot is there would be no need for a DNA test as the baby would be mixed race. How would you then feel knowing it wasn't yours for sure? (Presuming you're both white?)

Highly unlikely with the coil and condoms, but I think it would be tricky trying to pass off a brown baby as hubby's! There is no way I could keep it anyway. Call me heartless but I really don't want anymore children which is why I had a coil fitted.

It is and it isn't but ultimately it's the woman's body so the final decision would generally be hers.

It'd be an abortion for me...I'm heading swiftly towards the menopause and have only used condoms as my contraceptive since I hit 40, I reckon the chances are remote, however, a good friend of mine is a menopause baby, her mam was caught on the change at 48 and there's almost 30 years between her and her oldest sibling!

I don't have children, nor do I want them - it'd be a termination whether it was a pregnancy produced from a swinging meet or from a relationship

That's a tough 1 and would change things!! Only because it would b more obvious to others that J was not the dad. He would still raise the baby as his own but I suppose we would have to tell others and the child somethin (but prob not that they were conceived during a gangbang!!)

I know the question is hypothetical but I disagree with the OP, I think every child has a right to know who it's biological parents are regardless of who raises it.

Supposing there was an hereditary illness in the father's family that you knew nothing about - if later in life "your" child discovered that his/her assumed father was not in fact his/her biological father the shock could be devastating. In addition to feeling deceived by then he/she may have had a family and unknowingly passed on the disease to another generation.

My eldest grandchild was adopted at the age of eighteen months and it was a traumatic experience for everyone concerned but his birth parents were encouraged to make life history books for him which he has grown up with and which have been added to over time, so he has been raised knowing that his adoptive parents are not his "birth mummy and daddy" and over time the circumstances of his adoption have been explained to him in ways that he can understand. My understanding is that other than in exceptional cases this is the norm for adopted children these days, far better than the devastation that can be caused on discovering later in life that everything you held to be real is not.

I have a contraceptive injection every three months and use condoms but I'm with Blonde Caz on this one. I don't have children and if I fell pregnant now at the age of 49 I'd have a termination.

I'm sure a lot of people won't agree but if I didn't have children when I was happily married, I certainly don't want one now at my age.

It's nobody else's business what choice you would make, your body - your choice.

The chances of becoming pregnant if you are using contraception AND condoms is very remote tho obviously not impossible.

It would strike me as odd if people are liberated and openminded enough to swing but would judge someone for deciding to terminate an unwanted & unplanned pregnancy

Also, I'd probably have a number of prospective Daddies to choose from so don't know where I'd start there. I'm confident though that the implant and condoms will mean that'll never be an issue, but if it ever is I'll prob be a hysterical wreck in a corner somewhere!

i fell pregnant on the implant "

Thanks for that...I'll make sure I put some chocolate in the corner now shall I!!

no matter

I do keep having a recurring dream about getting pregnant and wondering how i would explain this to my OH also at 64 obviously cant happen even if I was having sex.

I'ts pretty stressful time in the dream tho.

I would have to know im afraid if I were playing I would need extra extra protection..

If it was likely to be someone else I think I would have terminated.

Could cause marriage breakdown I imagine. May be ok whilst you were friends but if you fall out it may become an issue.

I read that as fatherhood is the subject of the sentence, therefore it is "it's" (no possession or gender).

Sterilised here. And used condoms

I would need to think hard about this as I have a medical condition too, but I would probably have to abort. It would break my heart though.

No, the fact you would meet for someone for NSA and they would keep the baby and perhaps not even tell you.

This blasé attitude to having a child is a little worrying. Think I might stick to wanking.

Some might say aborting a baby just because its conception wasn't all roses and flowers might be a blasé attitude as well.

If it happened to me I would tell all parties (partner, potential father and any partner they may have) but ultimately I would keep the child. Fertility is not a given and you never know if that was your one and only shot!

Why?

My sister conceived in what she thought was a loving relationship but half way through the pregnancy the 'father' decided he didn't want to be a grown up and hasn't been seen since.

Being in a relationship means jack! Providing a loving home to a child you helped create is all that matters.

So you would force a woman to abort a baby if you made her pregnant through a swinging meet?

Yes the father should be informed and given the opportunity to be involved but if the woman felt that she was able to bring the child up then what's the issue?

I don't mean this in a rude way but maybe she wasn't really the best judge of character then.

I dunno, I must be old school; my parents are still together and I guess I believe in raising a child in a loving relationship.

Woah woah woah. No one said anything about forcing a woman to have an abortion so put your claws away.

I was kind of the opinion (naively it seems) that NSA would mean just that is all and I assumed women looking for such would be of the same opinion.

"don't have sex then.... "

Errr, OK.

Honestly? May have to rethink this site. Most the women I meet in real life are of the same opinion as me. On here it just speaks volumes.

And for the most part that is what this site is about but for the 0.000001% of a chance that for some reason a child is conceived (remember nothing is 100% effective as a birth control except abstinence) then decisions have to be made.

All this thread is doing is asking what if, no one on here has said they are outwardly going to get pregnant by a meet, its all hypothetical.

As long as the risk of pregnancy and STI's etc still exist (and they always will) nothing can be truly NSA.

Not entirely sure why not knowing who the father is would instantly link to bareback sex, as is being implied. I probably have sex with 5/6 different men in a month with condoms. If I got pregnant there is a potential for it to be any of those men as I wouldn't necessarily know on which occasion the condom and my implant had failed...if there was an obvious breakage then that would be a clue, but still not a guarantee that he was Daddio. I am as careful as I can be, but if I were to fall pregnant I'd prob have to get in touch with Jezza for the free DNA testing...once I'd stopped crying in the corner!

This is too true...I can probably count on one hand how many of my friends parents are still together. My Dad isn't my Father, but he's my Dad nonetheless. It is a shame, but seems to be the case that having Mum & Dad stay together is unusual these days
