I ( Jamie ) am lucky enough to of been in several Rolls Royce and Bentleys including the GT

The GT is an absolutely beautiful car with stunning looks and speed and handling to boot ! Sounds exquisite too !

But i have to say the Ghost is something else completely ! There is something about a Rolls that just makes you smile And as for The Wraith well its yet to be road tested but i have a feeling that it will be something special again

The only really expensive Rolls is the first one. After that your dealer will move heaven and earth to ensure you don't move away.

Investment Banker:

Hello all,

I was very disappointed in the programme as the title, 'Inside Rolls Royce' just didn't cover it.

I was expecting to see the cars being built, how they paint them, build the interiors, maybe a few minutes showing them being flung round a test track etc. All the sort of things a car enthusiast, particularly if you have an engineering background, likes to see.

Two out of Ten from my perspective.

Alec

Bentley/Rolls Royce

You,ll be amazed just how badly organised the builds are and the cheap materials that are used. To the untrained eye they look and drive fantastic and of course justify the price bracket when you consider overheads and volume sought after mean a tidy profit on each car balances itself out. The reality is mostly an unskilled workforce on fast repetative tact times working so hard they are carrying sometimes several injuries due to rsa, a occ health system designed to patch up and get them back on the job so by that a pissed off and demoralised set of staff that happily cut corners and often get through quality checks which are overuled to assure figures are met. Managment teams that have no people skills just ability to order and bully people into submission.

Other than that the cars are stunning visually and to drive, you don,t see the rpeated mistakes that are dealt with in aftersales some safety critical.

The best thing to happen to the company is to be governed by VW (Bentley - RR with BMW), the problem is existing oldskool Crewies waiting to retire and not give a shit and more appropriate the butchers, bakers, pylon painters drafted in from Toyotas Management. Anyone that has worked there or knows someone that does will know this to be true.

I have done a few jobs for Rolls Royce at crewe back ib the late 90's, everytime I went there it took my breathe away by the cars. I managed to cadge a lap of the factory in a brand new car, not the best scenery but a lovely car.
