When I use fab a shite load of porn pop ups appear can anyone advise how to get rid of them,,,,,, I have pop up blocker on !!!!

sounds like you have malware or similar.

Have you downloaded anything recently? Could be from that.

i had it ad i had to o into my internet settings and uncheck a 3rd party extension option on there - stopped them dead

Im getting stupid ads popping up every 2 seconds right at this moment. My netbook keeps telling me to update malware, but Im loathe to in case it mucks up netbook, as ive had problems before with stuff

I took the advice and stopped the third party extensions..... cookies.

I also did a full scan with my anti virus so I don't know what cured it !!!

I also had a message trying to get me to download some anti virus software which was bogus so be aware ..... I am sure this was picked up from the Fab site itself !!!!

If you're worried you've been infected by malware and not sure what software to download/run in case it makes the problem worse (as often these issues are started by fake 'antimalware' promoters), a good first step is to use the online scan available at Trend Micro's website, called Housecall - it does a very thorough scan and fix without installing or downloading anything dodgy on your device.

get some decent anti malware - AVG free is a good choice, then scan your system.

Firefox with the adblock plus ad in is great too, it kills all pop ups, pop unders, youtube ads before videos etc, etc, can't praise it enough

As others have said Malwarebytes will find the problem.

I personally use both AVG free and Malwarebyes.

You need to run it on a regular basis - the AVG i do every day and Malwarebytes at least once a week.

Both are FOC.

Just to add.

It's cookie based called "retargetting".

what that semantically means is that any sites visited in any one browsing session (in your case porn you filthy person) means you will get targetted with theme -centric porn banners for other porn sites.

So clear your history.

I only know this because...errrr.

Thanks for the advice ..... I do delete my history on a regular basis and I think now it came from a music site ,,,, don't laugh !!!! I was looking for free music sites then logged into fab ,,,, then the pop ups started !!!!

I think it has stopped now after I used Malware bytes !!!! again thank you for all the advice ..... my Norton is up for renewal in 8 days might go for something different !!!!
