She has been unwell for a few days not eating lethargic, so gilly took her to the vets this morning so they kept her for some blood tests then some x-rays they discovered she had an infection in her womb, anyway she needed an emergency operation to remove her womb so during the operation it's seems that she ruptured into her abdomen so she has been flushed out and the next 24 hrs are critical. I so hope she is going to be ok |

Some people Think and might even say - " its just a dog "....
But they just like having Kids..
they cost a fortune, they annoy you sometimes !! and they might just shit everywhere and chew everything and scratch the floors and furniture etc - for the first few years.. lol - but you got love a dog.. because your kids do the same |

Also had a westie who had this, was so scary she pulled through and lived till she was 14, but it made me so aware that if you have a bitch, and you're not going to breed, get them spayed!
Hope you have some good news today x |

Glad she is ok
Mine wouldn't eat when she had the exact same thing but she perked up after a couple of days.
She recovered well and lived for a long time after so hopefully yours is through the worse now . |

Just been to see her she stood up wagged her tail had to calm her down a bit, she looks very poorly but better than what is imagined, she on a heat pad got a blanket and they've put a portable radiator outside her cage, they are going to try syringe feeding her tomorrow. I certainly feel a bit happier now I've seen her tail wag |

Just make sure you spey them then it wont happen..we have dogs in with pyo's all the time somehow people will not take the advise of the Vet ..I was speaking with mine today and she says Staffis are very prone to getting pyo's..
Hope you little girl will heal up and be better soon she has been very sick ,to have it burst is just about the worst thing. Hope she eats soon and you get her home.
I do hope she was insured tho they may not cover it as if you dont follow a vets advise and spey the animal they often opt out of paying .. |

I know .. that was very bad luck.
Was just a warning to others ..Yes in the end you just pay..but many surrender their dogs or put them to sleep as paying is impossible.
There are sadly as many bad owners as good in some areas..

Fabulous, been checking in too and great to hear it's going in the right direction.
Would love to put a pic of my pet on as avatar to honour your post.
A growling pussy seems apt but guess it's not permitted. |
