"Stick with iPhone you can't go wrong. The new 6 will be released in a few month so might be worth hanging on rather upgrading to the 5."

"HTC One, had it a year and can't fault it."
I have a One too. Great sound, great screen, full 1080HD and the camera is pretty good too. Plus it's an android so there's eleventy squillion apps and games available for free... |

The camera's a bit shit, to be fair...fine if you don't need the flash but I've not seen shutter lag like it in many a year if you try using the flash with it! The video camera's cool though and the Zoe function can come in useful. |

I have to agree with another poster. - I know of 3 friends who gone from iPhone to htc etc and hate it. Not because htc is crap it's just iPhone is incredibly easy for day to day stuff. Moving to something that does it just as well but in a different way tends to annoy people.

I've never knowingly used the flash if I'm honest so I couldn't comment but for general snapping it's as good as I need. I've downloaded a free HDR app too. It has some nice filters that can add a little more depth to the pics. I don't for a second believe that it's true HDR though.
My eldest has a Nokia Lumia 1020 and the camera on that is outstanding. The rest of the phone is shit though.. |

I'll probably be the only one to recommend this but the Blackberry Q10 is the best phone i've ever had. I've had all the iPhones, HTCs and Samsungs. It just works for me and sounds ldeal for your requirements. |

If you are thinking of moving from Apple to Android you'll want a fairly nice phone.
HTC One has nice build quality (something that you may miss in other phones coming from an Apple product) so I'd probably recommend that. A new HTC One is coming out soo too. |

Unless you've got an iPhone 5C, in which case pretty much anything is an upward step in terms of build quality (and whatever you get will probably be a nicer colour too!) |

"I've still got a Samsung galaxy2, didn't want to upgrade to a 4 as I love it so much. Use it all the time, hardly ever put the pc on."
I started with the Galaxy S & never bothered changing cause it did everything for me until last year when i got the S4 and it's brilliant. Did try the Nokia Windows phone but too bulky and fiddly for me to get use to. So i'd recommend the Samsung range |

I have a Windows phone. I'm slowly liking it more and more as they release more apps for it. Its very easy to use. But I would say if you have had an iPhone you'll probably feel like you're relegating to a Windows phone. |

Currently have a Sony Xperia P, but looking to change.
Been looking at the HTC One Mini and the Samsung S4 Mini. Also very tempted by the Motorola Moto G which is an absolute bargain, but the camera is seemingly pretty woeful.
Decisions decisions! |

"Ive been into the phone shop and ive seen and tried a few...
HTC Desire 500
Acer liquid e2
Nokia lumia 520
Z1 compack ( cant remember maker)
I wouldn't throw the iPhone 4 in for any of those."
Ive narrowed it down to the HTC or the Acer, I might just keep my iphone.... just incase |

I used to have an iPhone 3gs and swapped to a galaxy s3 a while ago. Last week I upgraded to the Sony Xperia z1compact and I love it, best phone I've had! An added bonus is that it's. A gorgeous shade of pink
I'd never go back to iPhone again |

I have a Nokia Lumia 925. I love it, hubby hates it.
It doesn't have all the same apps but it's got a fantastic camera and you can get the usual FB, spotify etc on it so all is not lost
There are new apps coming out all the time for it. Worth a play about if you aren't fussy about what make you want. |

I've got a Nokia Lumia 925 Windows Phone. I luv it. Developed some pictures from it last week and they were brilliant quality. It's my third Windows phone and you'll never persuade me to change to a pie phone! |
