Newcastle and Gateshead

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of "Bob"... My Beloved Ipad... at the age of 16 months...

he passed of "Sudden power loss" on sunday when I realised that I couldn't turn it on (not the first time I have heard them words)....

He was rushed (I say rushed.. more leisurely driven today) to the apple store where he was prononced "Gone"

the blue shirted bloke at the apple store stated "have no idea, can't turn it on.. have none in stocked but will get you another in 2-3 days"

Bob was my first foray into "proper modern/ down with the kids/nerd technology"

he is survived my "geoff" (my iphone)

please leave your nice words here.....

p.s I know RIP threads normally turn into catfights... please keep this one civil.....

p.p.s anyone who had "Bob" in this years death pool, I may have to have serious words with......

Sad to see Bob go.

Charlotte my original iPad is nearly 4 years old and still going strong so poor Bob is very unlucky.

My sincerest condolences. Here's to young Bob II.

RIP bob.

I am sorry for your loss. It has been widely reported that the apple species has a congenital defect that's present at birth.

I would suggest that in the future you have any new offspring innoculated with the android strain to prevent any further heartache.

Xxxx

I would say we should introduce your Charlotte to our Paddy - but given he's only just coming up to 4months old that will make her a cradle app-snatcher!!

I never liked Bob, sitting there all smug and shiny. I know I never met him but just hearing about him would make my blood boil. Of course I feel sorry for those who knew him but his feeling of superiority really got my goat.

I have a Bob (iMac) who is 14 this year and still going, if a bit slow. These modern youngsters just don't have the same staying power.

R.I.P your Bob

Long live my Bob!

Sadly my 8 years old Toshiba laptop passed away two weeks ago, and I now know what I can use as a death note - it has suffered from a Bobism!!

I am performing open hard drive surgery on a desktop computer later today.

I successfully resuscitated it a couple of weeks ago but it now needs a transplant.

Please keep it in your thoughts and prayers.
