"well thats just confirmed that i wont be voting Labour!!"
What, because he gaffed, I don't it'll change many people minds in all honesty, either people trust an alternative or they don't, many, many public sector workers are extremely worried about the implications re job security should a conservative government be elected.
Regardless of a gaff, people will vote how a parties manifesto affects them, not on some gaff by a politician.
I'm no lover of GB, but today's gaff will not stop me voting Labour next week. |

It is a reflection of Gordy the Gaffe's personality. Nobody is disputing that he's human and entitled to his own opinions, but when you are the Leader of your country and about to ask the electorate for another go at the job you have to have your wits about you at ALL times. The fact that he's screwed up thousands of Labour Party workers efforts up and down the country makes him a liability and asks the question: What will he screw up in the future?
He's not applying to be a paperboy, he's asking to be Prime Minister again, and the one thing you cannot do is insult your supporters. |

Ok, I looked, and here's my view on that.
1) Equalise age of consent to 16.
I strongly disagree and if anything I think the age of consent should be equalised at 18.
2) Repeal of Section 28.
Again, I disagree. Giving organisations carte blanche to distribute whatever they want is not healthy and removes control from central government.
3) Equal Adoption Rights.
I'm a little unclear here. If it's legal for gay couples to adopt already then it has passed the statute books and is law. The Tories would have to repeal that law and that means it passing through the House again, which will defeat it. All adoptions should be on merit and suitablility, and if they aren't suitable then they should not be allowed to adopt.
5) Civil Partnerships
I agree with this. Gay couples should have the same status as hetero couples.
6) Equality Act.
Again, I am in agreement with this in principle but it could be spun around to incorporate all of the other points above, so it's contradictory.
~
Out of five questions posed, I am in agreement with the Tories on 3 of them, agreement with LBGT on one of them, and the other is too ambiguous on which to make a declaration.
And please don't forget, I am bisexual myself, so I am not being anti-gay here. |

I also believe that neither Labour or the Libdems are being honest about ring-fencing working tax credits. Cuts have got to be made and that seems to be a prime target to me. |
