I used to often but lately I've grown tired of getting messages back from guys who clearly feel they shouldn't say no thanks. So they say yes, then piss about or vanish or goodness knows what.

I'm a grown woman ffs, I can deal with a no thanks, or a you're not my type, or a there wasn't a spark!

Yes, if they take my fancy and I'm in their interests/age limits/sexual preferences etc.

I see quite a lot of couples profiles that say NO SINGLE MALES NO SINGLE MALES NO SINGLE MALES yet they have verifications from single males.

I don't contact them.

If its someone I really fancy in all honesty no never but I have ppl from the forum but purely as someone has said above only if I think I can help with somthing or by way of a joke or something. An not because im shy or lacking in confidence the only reason id never mail 1st is because I hate the stigma atched to single male on here an come to that most site's. If someone's really is interested in me as the posts from most females above prove im sure they'll have no problem mailing me 1st. Having said that I'm also a very firm believer in the old saying if you look you'll never find.

I message first quite a lot and have met the last 3 guys I messaged and have a meet planned with another I made first contact with next Sunday. I had a spate of blocking everyone while I looked so as not to be disturbed and that worked quite well. Overall it seems more successful than when guys have made the first contact so go for it, what's the worst that can happen??!
