Three people (who happen to work at schools) have been arrested and have had their houses raided for being in possession of 'extreme porn'...
The investigators have revealed that the porn discovered did not involve minors nor children...
If that's the case, what can be considered 'extreme' and thus an offence worthy of arrest?
I've got a close friend who works as IT support at a school and says he has found porn in laptops of teachers, male and female, when he's been asked to deal with virus' et al..
Smells like a 'more than meets the eye' type situation..

Yes we guessed extreme porn is illegal stuff, animals, snuff movies (I think that's the term), real rape and torture etc. the kind of thing you don't want people in charge of your kids looking at.

Sounds like a "just in case" to me. Teacherporndanger"wont somebody think of the children"prosecute to cover rear end.
Most other people would probably be given a slap on the wrist and told to not do it again. |

I don't know the details of this case but I do know that teachers or anyone involved with young people need to be careful. |

The government deems most porn not akin to what's described im mills and boon extreme. Hence they want us to have to opt-in to watch it.
It might be the case it's just the type of porn most of us would watch (those who do)

If you have it on film, on your computer or whatever, it can be classed as illegal, because thwre there is no way you can confirm it is between consenting adults, and you can charged with having illegal porn. |

It's the reason a lot of people are very wary of involving themselves in anything that can leave a lasting mark. The person only needs to change their mind the next day.

You might if you're a teacher and people think it's best all round if you're sexless.
We do tend to over-react to such things in British society when it comes to sex.
Not saying it is that the case here, it could well be far more sinister but we seem to have a hair-trigger with anything sexual as society becomes increasingly prudish about sex.
For the record I would only ever see extreme porn as anything containing illegal acts.

No it isn't, hence the speculation. I really hope in an odd way that it isn't just "normal" porn that has caused a knee jerk reaction because sexual freedom is limited enough but of course I also hope that it isn't the "real" extreme stuff because it means that someone, somewhere suffered for it to be made. |

Extreme porn is sex with violence. However how they define this is very odd. any film made before a set date 2009 I think is fine as long as it is not edited. So the last tango in Paris film is fine as long as you do cut that scene out and watch it on its own. Also if you where to recant the full film they lock you up for that.
Any photo for film that has gun or knife in it might been seen as extreme porn!
Even if it is consensual the he or she ask you do X like spanking, leave a hand print of a bum and that is sex with violence. leave a bite mark and that sex with violence. Nail marks him or her, you got it sex with violence. Anal sex classed as extreme porn if they are left gapping at the end of it.
Most people do not know they have illegal porn in the home. And a lot of it is posted on face book as well. Remember any photo of anyone under the age of 18 topless or bottomless or full naked is illegal even a video show a baby been born is illegal under the law.
Not to defend these people but as the law stand they could have photos or films that are no worse than seen in film made in the 90 or 2000.
The law in this area is joke it need reworking in a big way. With know more about what they are looking out it is fun fair to judge them at all.
Just as you work in school does not mean you cannot watch porn in your own time on your pc at home. At school yes that is a very big no no.

Taking an example which was raised during parliamentary debates on the Criminal Justice and Immigration Bill, the anal sex scene in the movie "Last Tango in Paris", even if it were to be considered pornographic and of an obscene nature, would not be caught by the new offence, because it is not explicit and does not portray an act resulting or likely to result in serious injury to a person's anus.
The painting "Leda and the Swan", another example raised during debates in Parliament, would also not be caught by the new offence, because it would not meet the "explicit and realistic" test. |
