I might not have agreed with either of there politics but , they stood for what they believed was right, and never changed there mind, you have to respect them for there believes even if not agreeing with them, plus I don't believe you should ever speak bad about people once they have died |

I actually heard a conservative old mp, who was talking about him on the bbc and slag him off a lot but not in a horrible way.
It was actually quite refreshing to hear someone speak their mind unlike the fool Cameron.Does he seriously think he can fool us that he would have anything but contempt for someone like Tony Benn. |

Having met him on numerous occasions I can honestly say that I don't believe anyone could have contempt for tony benn.
People may not have agreed with him but he was never insulting on a personal level and he was a magnificent and compelling speaker. He was universally respected by all who knew him. A sad loss.
I hope the op receives similar respect from such a huge number when the time comes.
