We have always told our children who are practically adults now that we're going out with friends, either from his work or my work as they don't know all our colleagues but they know most of our local friends

I'm very open with my two and my son (20) still lives at home so I tell them where I'm going etc
If I want to accommodate at home then my son will go crash at his sister's and ask me if I had a nice time when he gets home.
No details obviously but it also means if mum does not come home or contact them they know where to begin..... |

We've heard several people are this open with their kids. Not for us tho. Not prepared to tell them Dad's bi or that he dresses either. Not the kind of stuff we think they need to know. |

No I can understand that I am a single woman so I have no such dilemmas to deal with, it's not often I meet at home either as it's his house too but at the moment it works for me.
As I say no details just that I do lol, good luck they get more inquisitive as they get older don't they |

I try to keep my fibs as close to the truth as i can, easier to remember and use reason again.
My family think I have a friend nr Wolves who i go and visit some Mondays. We have a swim n catch up .... Not so different from the truth lol |

Romantic time away from them seems best. Personally, I'd be tempted to say that you are off taking over the world, unless you have a lack of ambition, in which case, hench-couple to guy taking over the world |
