How long do the names remain on your blocked list when you block them, forever or for a set period of time ... I appear to have lost some ... and I know they are still on site ...

I always add the reason I blocked then in the private notes attached to their profile. Normally, it is forever.

If we have a fruitless communication and no interest and tell the person(s) no thank you we usually block. Blocking sounds harsh but actually you're just avoiding people you're not interested in you wasting their own time trying again because they've lost track or think you might still secretly be interested. See dozens of messages from women and couples about men just "not accepting no"

That's so easily resolved with a block.

They may have deleted and come back on or the other trick that can get you unblocked I heard of which is similar to changing user name.

That's fine and I know these things happen but it's not like it's hundreds of people that do this. They will most likely end up in the same place second time round.

We honestly have hardly any crap from folks.

Not that we do anyway, most people are decent and actually aren't two-headed monsters, or four-headed.

Same way I've always used my solo profile elsewhere and I have very little crap from folks there either. So I have a single female experience too that is nothing like what is often described on here. Lots of messages yes, about 60 on an average day (using what little filtering they have) lots of hassle, actually no.

This works well in practice. If people can get over their fear of using blocking - and think of it as a filter rather than punishment -and communicate a polite no thanks they'd have less (in fact pretty much no) unpleasant verbal ping-pong. It's actually kinder to the party you're not interested in if they're persistent.

It's all a question of whether you prefer to run your account without fuss or prefer to tolerate the same people who you have no interest in repeatedly messaging you.

Well once they're on there I don't unblock so if any disappear then I assume they must drop off onto another, unseen, page.

Maybe it's like messages? When you get too many you cant see the old ones till you delete a few.

I cant see me deleting any to check this theory lol. And im not counting to see if there are over 200 but its close!

They will always remain on the bloke list I think unless as others have said, they've deleted and returned oe there is a slight name change, like a full stop added somewhere.
