"Has anyone heard about this?
A building has come down after an explosion from a "gas leak""
it was 2 apartment blocks just on the northern side of central park..
Was watching the rolling news coverage on "7" (new york speak  ) just the fact the blast was heard in all five boroughs says how loud the explosion was...
actually the FDNY chief said something worth considering... if they had got there earlier, it may well have had firemen stuck in there as well and it would have been a lot lot worse...
also the fact the blast happened at 9.30am on a workday meant there weren't as many people in the houses as there would have been.... |

According to reports I don't think it was a "gas leak" it was just a gas leak. |
