So the CEO who has just been awarded a £3.6m pay package in what has been described as the worst year in its history wants to resign as he feels demoralised. So given the mess the company is in should he get his award and should customers and members be happy he is there, or should he go and get someone in to do the job for a lower package?

Personally I think all CEO should give back whatever there awarded, and if your looking for company's in a mess just look at the banks

Personally I think all CEO should give back whatever there awarded, and if your looking for company's in a mess just look at the banks

He didn't cause the mess, he was brought in to clear it up so one argument is that the best talent is needed to manage through the rebuilding. However, surely he should only get paid once he has delivered, rather than on what he has promised. And should that go for all bonuses?? |
