"An old school friend dug out and publicly put the photos when we all dressed up and went to see it at the theatre aged 15!!"
Me and my school friends went to our local theatre that played it every week for a long time kitted out with toast, rice, newspapers and water pistols. Great fun when you know all the audience participation phrases.
"Say it! Say it!"
Tim Curry is a legend. |

"Tim Curry's entrance has to be one of the best film entrances of all time. "
First time I saw this was at a mates house, there was about 5 of us there. I got tipped off something was not quite right, We were watching one lads face turn from lust to disgust when Tim Curry turned round.
I would have to dress up as Riff Raff or Eddie. |

"A club should do a RHPS fancy dress theme night and screen it. That would be a great laugh."
A heavy metal nightclub in Bradford, (Rios to those in the know), had it on their screen when the show was in The Alhambra. Seeing guys in basques, stocking and suspenders headbanging and pogoing was a sight to behold |

For a film that's nearly 40 years old it really hasn't aged a day! We both love and worship it and both agree that Tim Curry is pure sex.
It's absolutely amazing on the stage too!
The bloke of the couple is slightly obsessive and has the cast albums in about a dozen different languages... Sweet Transvestite sung in Norwegian is definitely one to hear! |

I saw it by accident in the early eighties, thinking it was going to be a slightly weird horror film (I wasn't expecting a musical). My friends walked out of the room after about 10 minutes. I've always loved it since. At times it's been a guilty pleasure, as it seems to go in and out of vogue regularly.
I don't think it gets credit for bringing attention to and wider acceptance of things like transvestism and bisexuality.
The sequel Shock Treatment was a bit naff. The songs were okay though. Strangely, Rik Mayall was in it.
