Right ts is a very serious question to any personal trainers or gym peeps out there. I've lost a stone and a half since last year and wanna get into shape. Not really into the whole gun thing but have brought some weights to train at home. Anyone give me any help on what I should be doing to get into shape. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Get the insanity dvd set, 1 hour a night for 2 months, the changes will be shocking, it's a real physical Change if you stick to it!! And you fan get good bargains on the gumtree!!

Just found the 13 disc box set on ebay for 45, brought it straight away. Things are gonna change for the better!!

Insanity is good. But, you have to stick to it and remain motivated throughout the days and months.

Not sure if you have signed up to the gym or just want to do home workouts. But, body weight exercises incorporated with the free weights may be a good start.

...from your pictures. You don't look too bad anyway. I'm a bulker. I like size rather than the athletic slim look.

So, may not be much help there.

I've got weights at home dude so won't be going to the gym plus don't really wanna be shedding out money each month. Just want something I can do at home. I've lost loads of weight so wanna do something with it as I feel the be I've ever felt. Cheers dude.

i liked your answer..if he's got the will and determination to do the insanity thing then good luck and you wil see the difference in no time... but most folk can only keep that up for short periods .then get fed up and stop.but you wil get there much easier doin your own thing at your own pace and less chance of injury..i would have bought a pull up bar for 15quid instead of dvd . x

What's a good workout for home ? 30 mins to an hour a night, no weights or anything, will push ups and crunches etc make any difference or do you really need to get into it? I'm not over weight just need to tone up but not much time, want to start swimming again too but not done it for years, will I cramp up?

yes you can tone up fine on body weight exercise and go at your own pace and trick is to keep it up

Is that the bar you put across a door? Quite fancy that like, what's the odds I stot my heed aff the door frame the first time? Or not tighten it enough and fall on my ass? Wont be filming myself doing it that's for sure! Lol.

You dont have to tighten it. It hangs off the door frame. No screws or nothing

Get one that hooks to the frame instead of fastening at either end. Never had a problem with one

I've done Insanity and the two follow ups - Insanity Asylum vol 1 and 2.

Very good workouts.

No weights are needed, it's all body weight moves and the option is usually there to make it a bit easier.

Be prepared to sweat a lot, it's not an easy workout.

If you stick with it and eat correctly the results will be there in 2 months. Carry on with it after the 2 months.

I would suggest instead of insanity which has a time and place , you buy a book that explains the fundamentals regarding training your body for strength health and fitness . This should give you a holistic /wide overall understanding of what you wish to achive other than snippet sound bite suggestions , which may be counterproductive if you chose the wrong advice xx
