Hoping to get to Leeds to see the progue, and first stage set off. |

they are coming through my part of the world, hence It is taking me an hour to get from one end of town to the other when it usualy takes 5 to 6 mins, and every day another rd is closed off due to roadworks and filling in potholes,on the bright side will have a lovely pothole free rd when they have gone |

Yep, I've made my booking to stay with family members with Leeds when it's on. Hoping to go over with some friends to France as well to watch some further stages. |

The roads the route is on are all being resurfaced which is great if you live on the route. The downside is if you are not its potholeville till 2015 |

"Will be watching from somewhere along Cragg Vale - longest continuous road climb in England - as its a local road to me. Think i may have to ride up there pretty damn early though!"
We were going to watch it up cragg but think they will be flying up there, we are going to watch them get up ripponden bank, they will be going up there a bit slower |

I used to watch the Milk Race and the Kellogs tour of Britain years ago, so I am hoping to get up North to catch a glimpse of it hurtling past.
I keep meaning to get over to france to see it, but so far it never has materialised. |

As these will be the best 178 cyclists in the world, i rather suspect they'll be flying everywhere! Fully expect them to be going over 20mph up Cragg - i struggle to average 11mph up it |

Yeah but ripponden is a lot steeper than crag so looking well under half of the 20 up crag, I think they'll be doing nearer 25 up it especially the top half its pretty flat really, I average between 12 and 12.5 up there |

I remember years ago the road nationals being held near brum and on a route that was on roads I knew well. There was a climb (not much of one) that on form I'd get over at about 17mph. Watched the break fly over it nearer to 30mph witg David Miller sat at the back riding no handed and eating an energy bar. Totally different world! |

Goes within a mile of our house twice, including one of the steepest climbs. Can't wait for the roads to be shut off for four days - think I'll rent the house to the Froggies for the weekend, |

I'll be watching the 3rd stage from Cambridge to London, beyond that im not sure. Had planned to go to Huddersfield as that's where me grandparents were from but it is looking like getting there could be difficult. Plus sonisphere is that weekend and a day ticket to see The Prodigy when they are playing so close to home also appeals. |

"People in the village are offering to rent gardens and fields out for camping, I don't think I have my head around how big this is
The tour....."
I reckon there will be well over a million people on the side of the road for each stage.
When it was last here in 2007 there were estimated to be a million for each stage and cycling's popularity has increased massively since then |

The village I live in will become a right rat run, you can easily pick up two or three points, plus if you wanted Holme moss. |

We've just found out it's going past the top of our road. Our daughters school is closed as all the roads are being shut. I hope we manage to get a good view. Nothing this exciting has happened in Woodford since the unveiling of the Churchill statue. |
