Hi all were thinking of having a couple of days away need somewhere reasonably priced and has pubs etc within walking distance ( last one Mrs booked was in the wilderness lol ). Be grateful for ideas A & C x

Bowness on Windermere, very lively, bars pubs rstaurants, lots of hotels and b&bs.

Wife and me there most weekends, even through winter

Im with ? on the lake district. There are some nice hotels at Ambleside and plenty to look at localy

If you want a really short break, have a kitkat

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

Norfolk and Suffolk are nice, and full of decent pubs and microbreweries.

Chipping Norton is nice for a short break. Plenty of pubs and the own brewery. A few decent priced hotels as well.
