"Good Lord! Something upon which we agree.
I think it is an awful advert objectifying men and should be treated in the same way as an advert objectifying women and roundly condemned.
"
OH dear !!! We don't , I'm being totally tongue in cheek here again |

"Women perving over hot men?? bloody outrageous, would'nt catch me doing that "
I don't object to it here where it can be done equally but out there where children and young people can be influenced in the way that they think about things I think it's wrong.

"Men aren't going to be looking at it and getting upset as we live in a society where the male isn't classed as the lesser of the genders."
I agree with that too. My objection is to how we shape the narrative on respect and objectification of people. Swinging things to objectifying men doesn't balance things, in my view.
The ad even manages to suggest that the women are interfering with a hard-working man in a really childish way and that he is superior even as it causes the phwoar comments.

I think its natural to appreciate beauty or either sex,I think the advert is tongue in cheek,I would think the same if it was the other way round,I thought the WKD advert with the guys in the bar pretending they were still at work to their wives hilarious,Id be more concerned about bigger influences on children such as half the music videos on MTV,computor games and internet access than the diet advert |

I don't think women need to be sexualised in ads as guys will typically be noticing them anyway, so I hardly find the Coke ads offensive - anyway, Lynx ads tend to have plenty of lady eye candy to be sexually frustrated by! |

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum |
Coke are not well known for their subtle advertising. Notice that Diet Coke is promoted towards women but Coke Zero is promoted toward men. Even though they are both sugar-free.
Bring back the Seekers advert! |

It was on here a couple of minutes ago. He is nice to look at, and he is flirting, to make us appreciate him more. Probably an ad made by men, of course. The op is right, men have been stripped of their rights and dignity somewhat. I have a straight white male friend and he insists he is now on the bottom rung of society. All people should be equal and afforded respect etc equally. |

"The only thing I think is "Silly Women! If that can had rolled into the blades they could've caused some serious damage!".
Imagine how different that advert could've been...
- Amy. x"
I think that too! Coke spraying everywhere.
I don't like and I don't think they guy is attractive. Not any of the so called hunks on the ads where the women gasp dumbly with mouths open drooling. |
